My Story

Jessica McKenzie's unwavering determination to create joy one note at a time has become her triumph. Her love for music can be traced back to childhood singing in the church choir.

Jessica enveloped herself in the classical realm since the age of nineteen. She was taken under the wing of the music staff at Moorpark Community College where she struggled yet learned to read and write music. Her path would soon lead her to the University of California, Berkeley, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Music.

In May of 2020, Ms. McKenzie received her Master's Degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in Vocal Performance while studying under renowned soprani Marnie Breckenridge and Frederica von Stade. Jessica has studied Lauretta from Gianni Schicchi, Rosalinde from Die Fledermaus, Susanna and Countess Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro, The Stepmother from Into the Woods, Pamina from Die Zauberflöte, Suor Genevieve from Suor Angelica, and Leonora from Il Trovatore. In 2019 she premiered the role of Heidi from Scott Joiner’s The Shower in Vienna, Austria.
